Mike Burton:

Mike is Managing Director and Founder of Q15 and has 25 years’ sales experience in providing services to the banking, insurance and finance sector. Having worked in London, New York, Sydney, the Middle East, the Nordic region and Northern Europe, Mike has gained extensive expertise in brokerage and leasing, business continuity planning, disaster recovery, trading, risk management and trade processing solutions.

In 2005 Mike established Offshore Sales Limited, (today the holding company for Quorum 15) www.offshore-sales.com to provide sales and marketing expertise to financial and technology vendors.  A key success for Offshore Sales was the sponsorship of a series of quarterly executive breakfast briefings, designed to provide its clients with invaluable market feedback and market visibility. In 2008, following three years of hosting breakfast briefings in London, New York, Stockholm and Paris, Mike launched Q15.

Loukas Pilitsis:

Loukas joined the Q15 Board in 2009 and brings a wealth of experience and talent to the company. He is currently CEO of Piraeus Equity Partners, the Private Equity and Venture Capital  subsidiary of Piraeus Bank, which is one of the top Greek financial services institutions, with a strong presence in CE and SE Europe, as well as having offices in the US and London.  

From 1995 to 2009, Loukas held a number of senior positions within State Street in investment banking, corporate venture capital, private equity, strategy development and risk management in Boston, US and London.  His most recent role with State Street was the Pan European Chief Administrative Officer, European Executive Board.  In that role, he was responsible for Pan European strategy development, M&A / PE supervision and co-management of the European corporate shared functions.   

Loukas holds a law degree (Athens University Law School), a LLM (Boston University Law School) and a MSF (Boston College) and he is a graduate of the Executive Development Program from the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.

Advisory Boards:  The UK Advisory Board was first formed in 2010 to ensure that the topics, speakers, content and the general growth of the firm continue to represent the interests of its members.  Each year, buy and sell-side Q15 members from fixed income and equities are invited to join Mike Burton and Loukas Pilitsis who are directors of the company and therefore permanenet members.
